Casey Zollman was born in Pendleton, Oregon, and then soon after moved to Joseph, Oregon in Wallowa County, at the base of the Wallowa Mountains. He attended Joseph Schools from grade school through high school ,and after graduation in 1997 he moved on to college in southern Oregon. After moving to Ashland, Oregon, Casey graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in management and a Certificate in Applied Business and Economics. It was in college that Casey learned of his passion for sailing. After college Casey worked in Joseph and on a fire crew before moving back to Pendleton to help my aunt and uncle with their coffee shop. While his aunt fought a battle with breast cancer. Back in Pendleton Casey learned the art of roasting Arabica coffee beans. After a few years Casey's aunt sold the coffee shop and he as ready to move on. Luckily, Casey Severe offered me a job working in construction with him. It was with Severe Construction where Casey honed his building skills and developed a respect for quality work. Now, after 4-5 years in the trade, Casey has gone out on his own to start a "Top Shop." Casey sees countertops as a perfect marriage between his artistic side and his building skills. Through the countertop business, Casey is able to build useable pieces of art. It is a very exciting move for him.
